Pioneers of Recycling
In 1929, on the corner of 4th Avenue and 2nd Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta, Mr. Gordon Marshall established Marshall Auto Wreckers Ltd., which would rapidly take place as an leader of the Automotive Recycling Industry. Located atop the iconic Coulees, Mr. Marshall would nurture and grow his business. With the help of his General Manager, Mr. John Babick, Marshall's would receive it's Official Grand Opening on November 14, 1959. Mr. John Babick would go on to direct the move from Downtown Lethbridge to our current location, One Mile East of Lethbridge, along Sunnyside Road, as well as eventually purchasing the business from Mr. Marshall. Mr. John Babick would eventually go on to retire, leaving the business in the extremely capable hands of Mr. Mark Babick and Mr. Ken Babick, who would make the decision to expand into the Scrap Metal Recycling Industry with the opening of our sister-company, Marshall Metals Scrap Recycling Ltd. in 1999.
